Mixed Start

Major indices are overcoming a weak start with stocks recovering nicely.

Only three sectors are in the red still with Technology (XLK) being the laggard of the day. Palantir (PLTR) is contributing to Technology's underperformance, with an 8% drop, due to expected defense spending cuts. Health Care (XLV) is in the lead as investors move into more defensive sectors.

Mega Cap names are mixed as investors await Nvidia (NVDA) Earnings on Wednesday, after the close.

The two-year note pulled back to the lows of the session after a well-received $69 billion 2-year note auction. The sale drew a high yield of 4.169% and had a bid to cover of 2.56, while indirect takedown was above average, reflecting strong international interest.

President Trump welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron in the early afternoon and made some notable comments:
