Although the earnings season continued and key economic data was released, Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) dominated headlines.

It's already saving American taxpayers money due to the swell of opposition on Capitol Hill. The opposition might have much more to do with the egregious nature of already discovered wasteful spending. That might also have something to do with a parabolic spike in Google searches for lawyers in the Washington, D.C. area.

DOGE has already targeted industries that feed at the taxpayer's trough for years. Ironically, the public has been aware of crazy spending, like $1,000 hammers, but nobody has done anything about it.

Defense consultants are at the top of the list, as their numbers have soared to mask the incestuous relationship between the Military and the industrial Complex. But now, even defense contractors could find their bottom lines in the crosshairs as President Trump openly talks of significant cuts to defense spending.
