The S&P is edging higher as the big boxes are primarily green.
Financials are also doing some heavy lifting.

Overall, the session feels like one of those lay summer sessions, although this action, or inaction, is mostly the waiting game ahead of major financial releases.

We are bracing for the influence of earnings reports, beginning after the closing bell (Tesla (TSLA) and Alphabet (GOOG/GOOGL) report after the close).
