It is a mixed day with chip names taking a breather, which has been a fundamental driver of the current market’s bullish move. Yields recovered some after a steep decline following the strong 30-year bond auction.

The US treasury sells 30-year bonds at 4.331% vs. 4.352% when issued. This is a solid bond auction, which is a sign of relief after yesterday's poor 10-year auction.

Energy is the best performing sector, in response to rising oil prices (WTI +2.6%), followed by Materials.

The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq Composite are enjoying an edge of advancers over decliners, with more new highs than lows in both indexes.
