Payne's Perspective: January 21, 2025: Second American Century: The Golden Age

1/21/2025
By Charles Payne CEO & Principal Analyst

On Thursday, January 16, 2025, I hosted a Town Hall show with a live studio audience and explained why then President-elect Trump could lay the groundwork for the Second American Century. A combination of personalities, events, and decisions helped the United States eclipse Great Britain and never look back.

If I’m correct, investors will have a chance to create generational wealth.

I began the show with Queen’s lyrics:

But it's been no bed of roses

No pleasure cruise

I consider it a challenge before

the human race

And I ain't gonna lose

And we mean to go on and on and on and on

We are the champions, my friends

And we'll keep on fighting till the end -We Are the Champions-Queen

When I hear those lyrics, I think it’s the perfect anthem for anyone who wants to be an Unbreakable Investor.

Investors will take bumps and bruises and endure periods of emotional and financial stress. There is no reason it shouldn’t be like life itself.

But the great news is that investors can control problematic periods and turn them into opportunities.

On that note, it helps a lot when we live in an ‘unbreakable country.’

What’s Old is New Again

On January 20, 2025, we will have a new Commander-in-chief

A familiar face with a familiar mission, but more clarity to make it happen.

If President-elect Trump is successful, he will jumpstart the United States and spark the Second American Century.

My journey to this observation took months, and I began going down a rabbit hole searching for the origins of the term “easy street.”

While not precisely repeating, we all know that history moves in familiar cycles - history rhymes.

My show and this edition of “Payne’s Perspective” show how history could repeat itself and usher in decades of prosperity. In Unbreakable Investor, a chapter on the Roaring Twenties is repeating itself. Now, lots of stock market mavens are making the same comparison.

But there is another period of history that’s resonating even more- The Gilded Age.

We are in the New Gilded Age.
